Why is my ScoutLook app forcing me to upgrade to version 2.0?

This update was critical to sustain the growth of our system -- without it, the system would've eventually crashed (imagine if it was in the middle of hunting season?!). We spent close to a year planning and building this new version, and it all started with detailed user interviews, input and thorough evaluation and feedback from users every step of the way. And don't worry, all of your account info was ported over to include your saved locations.

We have simplified everything combining all of our apps into two ScoutLook Hunting and ScoutLook Fishing. All of the old apps are now directed to download and install the new apps. The result is an entirely different app, and anything new can be difficult to adapt to at first. We believe the user interface is way more polished, faster and more efficient. Some of the ground breaking changes include:

  • Global weather data
  • Archived (past) weather
  • Multi-species logging (vs. just deer)
  • Trail camera management
  • More map layers (including topo)
  • The ability to put saved locations from one particular area into a Group
  • Enhanced ScentCone®, SetZone® and DriftPoint® Wind Maps

These major improvements to our system will help outdoorsmen plan for success and be in the “right place” at the “right time.” If you have questions or concerns please look over our FAQ.
